"KARABAU PETROLEUM" is a large oil refining and oil product production enterprise in the north-east of Kazakhstan and one of the three oil refineries in the republic.
"KARABAU PETROLEUM" produces a wide range of oil products. Among them are various brands of gasoline, diesel fuel, oil fuel (mazut), hydrocarbon liquefied gases, vacuum gas oil, technical sulfur, several types of bitumen (construction, road, roofing), petroleum coke.
The Structure of the Refinery
The structure of the oil refinery comprises the following complexes: a primary oil distillation complex (LK-6U); a petroleum product blending and dispatch complex; a deep oil processing complex (the KT-1 fuel complex designed for the deep processing of fuel oil); and a heavy oil residue processing complex (which includes a number of technological processes such as delayed coking, coke calcination, bitumen production, sulfur recovery, and sulfur granulation) ...major auxiliary facilities are in operation (including units for hydrogen production, oil sludge processing, water supply and sewage systems, and a Central Plant Laboratory). The refinery pursues an active social policy; all necessary conditions have been created regarding employees' working conditions, living standards, and health. Current priority tasks include ensuring the production of K4 and K5 environmental class motor fuels in volumes sufficient to meet domestic demand, increasing the refinery's technical capacity and production output within the three-year inter-repair cycle, and producing Jet A fuel—a new product for the refinery—in compliance with international standards.....is the production of aviation fuel. The enterprise possesses well-developed utility and external facilities: storage facilities for finished products and raw materials, liquefied gas storage units, and loading and unloading racks for the transport of petroleum products by rail and road.
